Tina Monod is an artist and a designer who collects and captures beautiful moments with paintbrush on canvas and digital illustration. Taking photographs every day is a big part of her research. She is always observing the way light plays on a form or a landscape.
Many people have commented on how her paintings make them feel strength, energy and even happiness. Tina was born in Kelowna, B.C. She has a Bachelor of Fine Art in Painting from U Vic in Victoria, BC and a diploma in Advanced Internet Development and Design.
Tina has been painting for over 30 years in oils, watercolors and acrylics. She attended Pilchuck Glass School and is versatile in many glass art techniques. Her work is privately collected around the world. Tina currently lives and works in Whitby, Ontario, Canada.
What stands out in my work is a layering of brush strokes and glazing to evoke a windswept quality. My paintings combine elements and opposites. It is possible to find sun-dappled foliage and bright skies with dissipating rain clouds, all in harmony.
